Carbohydrates:


An average adult needs to consume a minimum of 130 grams of carbohydrates a day for a proper function. One cup of cooked sweet corn contains 31 grams


Protein and Fat:


Protein is a second macronutrient that the body also needs in the high amounts. It functions to repair cells, build muscles and improve the immune system. Sweet corn has a moderate amount of proteins. Sweet corn is low in fat. 1-cup sweet corn contains about 2.5 grams of total fat and less than 0.5 grams of saturated fat.


Fiber:


Sweet corn contains a moderate amount of dietary fiber. One cup contains 3.5 grams. Fiber is a nondigestible form of carbohydrates  



Potassium:


Potassium is an electrolyte mineral commonly lost through sweat during long bouts of exercise. It is needed for heart strength, muscle contraction and bone strength.

It will act as an anti-oxidant which helps to protect the body against harmful free radicals. It  keeps the connective tissues strong and moisturizes the mucous membrane in the lungs, nose, and throat
