How to prepare tomato ketchup at home:
When we prepare any snack item we also likely to eat with tomato ketchup. It is one of our favorites to have for snacks. But most of us used to have the chemicalized ketchup. As most of us are job holders and busy, we are using these ketchup in which we do not know whether it was nice or get spoiled. It may harm our health. As it is starred for a longer period of time in retails it may be spoiled and they may add chemicals for freshness. Having like these tomato ketchup can give a taste and good feeling for a small period of time but it has a long time negative effect and bad feeling on our health.
Ingredients required:
I kg tomatoes chopped roughly
2 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon of sodium benzoate mixed with water
Boiled water
Procedure:
1. Cook the tomatoes and garlic till they became soft.
2. Stain through a soup strainer, or blend in a blender and then pass through a sieve.
3. Put it back over high heat and add sugar, salt, garam masala, chili powder, vinegar and cook it till thick.
4. The mixture begins to spurt only in the center when ready.
5. Take off the heat and add sodium benzoate solution and store in airtight sterilized jars.
